This has become a Topic that many Americans have voiced their opinion on. And even after almost two now the Players from the United States still do not have the opportunity to play online poker. Now as some know there are still places that allow US Players to Play Poker Online. And with due risk involved, cause the United States Government is watching those activities.
I am posting this Blog and adding a place to Vote for Your Right to Play Online Poker. I set out to try and ask our US Legislation some Important questions regarding how our Tax's are Paid and what the Benefit's would be for US Players to have to Register for a Online Poker ID and Banking account. These two things are very Important and need to be addressed to our Congressman or woman and Senators.
The first one is the Photo ID, it is something that just like a Driver's License is something that Identifies us as the User of that Account. The Benefit of US Players having one is that in order to have it you have to register and show certain documents that prove you are who you say you are. In order to obtain a Online Poker Players Photo ID you have to provide a birth certificate, passport, any type of government ID, etc,,,. How does it help the Players from the US its gives credibility. And once you obtain a Online Poker Players Photo ID you move on to the next step.
This step is so that you can add money to a player account to play Online Poker. Now I have given several suggestions on how this should be handled. In the first I suggested that the Internal Revenue Service handle the transactions. Meaning they would have to create a Internal Banking system that would handle the deposits and withdrawals for each registered player. It is a good suggestion to add, but in thinking about it the Government is the one that is trying to add more regulations. I for one pay enough already to the US Government in tax's. So it is only one avenue we should look at.
The second avenue to look at is having a outside or Independent Banking Firm and CPA that can handle the Daily operations of Banking and accounting. It is better to let an accounting and banking firm do the work because they already have expertise in their respective fields. And that is what this Blog is all about.
